Targeting NAT10 with Remodelin reshapes the pro-fibrotic microenvironment in renal fibrogenesis via inhibiting exosome oversecretion from tubular cells

YuQin Tan, Jiaojiao Zheng, Ruojiao Wang, Zhaozhong Zhong et autres

combining mRNA ac4C modification and lysine acetylation (Kac). Moreover, NAT10 upregulated the abundance of exosomal Gli in TEC, which were vital for fibroblast activation. In summary, NAT10-mediated orchestration of ac4C and Kac modifications is the mechanism of over-activated exosome secretion of TEC …

Combination scRNA-seq with GWAS identifies genetic risk factors in IgA nephropathy: An observational study

J ian-xing Zhang, Shuo Lu, Guancan Liang, Ruojiao Wang et autres

IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is a common autoimmune kidney disease and a leading cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD), yet the immune cell-specific mechanisms underlying disease progression remain incompletely understood, particularly with respect to macrophage heterogeneity. We analyzed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data …

CircRNA‐mTOR Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression and Lenvatinib Resistance Through the PSIP1/c‐Myc Axis

Yongchang Tang, Feng Yuan, Mingbo Cao, Yupeng Ren et autres

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are crucial regulators of targeted drug resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the specific mechanisms underlying resistance that significantly hampers the effectiveness of HCC treatments remain unclear. Here, it is found that circRNA-mTOR is highly expressed in HCC and …

CircPIK3C3 inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma progression and lenvatinib resistance by suppressing the Wnt/β-catenin pathway via the miR-452-5p/SOX15 axis

Feng Yuan, Yongchang Tang, Hao Liang, Mingbo Cao et autres

INTRODUCTION: Resistance to lenvatinib limits the effectiveness of the targeted treatments for HCC. However, the exact mechanism behind this resistance remains elusive. Current research suggests that circular RNA (circRNA) is pivotal in mediating drug resistance during targeted treatments. OBJECTIVES: To investigate the …

Insomnia and sleep duration for kidney function: Mendelian randomization study

Yang Zhang, Zhaozhong Zhong, Zuofu Tang, Ruojiao Wang et autres

Objectives Extensive researches highlight the detrimental impact of sleep disorders such as insomnia and insufficient sleep duration on kidney function. However, establishing a clear causal relationship between insomnia, sleep duration, and kidney function remains challenging. This study aims to estimate this relationship …

Identification of RNA-binding protein genes associated with renal rejection and graft survival

Zhaozhong Zhong, Yongrong Ye, Liubing Xia, Ning Na

Rejection is one of the major factors affecting the long-term prognosis of kidney transplantation, and timely recognition and aggressive treatment of rejection is essential to prevent disease progression. RBPs are proteins that bind to RNA to form ribonucleoprotein complexes, thereby affecting RNA …

Lactate-Induced CCL8 in Tumor-Associated Macrophages Accelerates the Progression of Colorectal Cancer through the CCL8/CCR5/mTORC1 Axis

Hui Zhou, Jiayi Yao, Zhaozhong Zhong, Hongfa Wei et autres

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) play a pivotal role in shaping the tumor microenvironment. Lactic acid (LA) has been identified as an influential factor in promoting immune escape and tumor progression. However, the mechanisms through which LA modulates TAMs in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain …

CircRNA-mTOR Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression and Lenvatinib Resistance via PSIP1/c-Myc Axis Nuclear Translocation and Partially through Increasing EGFR Expression

Yongchang Tang, Feng Yuan, Mingbo Cao, Yuxuan Li et autres

Abstract Background Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is one of the major malignant tumors threatening human health. Lenvatinib resistance seriously restricts the efficacy of HCC, but the specific mechanism is not clear. Circular RNA (circRNA) plays an important role in the regulation of tumor …

Identification of miRNAs as diagnostic and prognostic markers in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hao Liang, Mingxing Xu, Zhiyong Xiong, Kunpeng Hu et autres

The development of high-throughput technologies has yielded a large amount of data from molecular and epigenetic analysis that could be useful for identifying novel biomarkers of cancers. We analyzed Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) DataSet micro-ribonucleic acid (miRNA) profiling datasets to identify miRNAs …

The effects of several postoperative adjuvant therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma patients with microvascular invasion after curative resection: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Jiarui Yang, Hao Liang, Kunpeng Hu, Zhiyong Xiong et autres

BACKGROUND: For patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with microvascular invasion (MVI) after curative resection, the effects of various postoperative adjuvant therapies are not summarized in detail, and the comparison between the effects of various adjuvant therapies is still unclear. Thus, we collected …

Serum exosomal long noncoding RNAs lnc-FAM72D-3 and lnc-EPC1-4 as diagnostic biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma

Zhicheng Yao, Changchang Jia, Yan Tai, Hao Liang et autres

overexpression inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis, indicating that it functions as a tumor suppressor gene. Collectively, these findings show that lnc-FAM72D-3 and lnc-EPC1-4 play a novel role that might contribute to hepatocarcinogenesis and identify potential candidate biomarkers for HCC diagnosis.
