Support to the Nigerian Economic Summit Group

Objectif officiel

The objective of this grant is to strengthen the research capacity of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) in order to enhance evidence-based policy advocacy as well as to improve private sector participation in policy formulationcomma implementationcomma and monitoring in Nigeria. The NESG is an independentcomma non-partisan organization formed in 1995 that fosters open and continuous dialogue on the shortcomma medium and long-term direction of Nigeria's economic policy and development between private and public sector leaders. The IDF funded program will seek to strengthen the NESG'S capacity to carry out evidence-based research through building the capacity of a research facultycomma training and development of the NESG research staff and creation of an online databank. To strengthen the research capacity of the NESG in order to enhance evidence-based policy advocacy as well as to improve private sector participation in policy formulationcomma implementationcomma and monitoring.
