Objectif officiel

The Sustainability Impact Accelerator (SIA) is an innovative international training program developed by the International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR) and financed by Sida. SIA provides targeted organizational development support to partners in the OECD/DAC list of countries eligible for ODA assisting development of sustainable and bankable infrastructure projects. The Sustainability Impact Accelerator functions in close collaboration with Team Sweden supporting strategic projects for development and trade. SIA partners with public utility companies or government agencies responsible for an infrastructure project, to strengthen their overall capacity to manage the project as well as their capacity to manage environmental and social risks to maximize the positive sustainability impact of the investment. SIA support is tailored to develop project owner's capacity to comply with international lender standards, such as the International Finance Corporation’s Performance Standards that can mobilise Swedish export finance as well as other international and development finance. Through targeted capacity development focused on sustainability and bankability, SIA enables more investments in critical infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries to achieve sustainable and inclusive development while creating responsible business opportunities.
