Hereditary and acquired thrombophilia in a patient with endometrial adenocarcinoma

This article presents a clinical case of a 46-year-old patient with aggravated obstetric and gynecological history, personal and family thrombotic history, who underwent surgery for endometrial adenocarcinoma complicated by the development of pulmonary embolism. The examination revealed hereditary and acquired forms of thrombophilia (PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphism, heterozygous mutation in factor V Leiden 1691 G>A, heterozygous mutations in folate pathway gene polymorphisms (MTHFR 677 C>T, MTRR 66 A>G, MTR 2756 A>G), hyperhomocysteinemia (a homocysteine concentration of 24 μmol/L), circulation of antibodies to β2GP, and the activation of immunothrombosis with a significant increase in the concentrations of NETosis specific markers (CitH3 and MPO).
