【目的】ヒト皮膚線維芽細胞（HSF）は真皮層に存在し，皮膚の美容に関連するコラーゲンやヒアルロン酸などを産生する細胞である．リンゴ搾汁残渣はリンゴジュースの製造の際に生じるが，その大半は廃棄されている．リンゴ搾汁残渣には，トリテルペンなどの機能性成分が含まれており，ヒトの健康に様々な有益な効果をもたらすことが報告されているが，皮膚美容に対する効果についての研究例はない．そこで本研究では，リンゴ搾汁残渣抽出物（APE）がHSFに及ぼす影響を解析した．
