Magnetic Susceptibility Measurement To Recognize Geological Characteristics of Rocks : An Example From the Crustal Section in the Northeast of the Yakuno Ophiolite, Japan

Shinya Wada, Takafumi Kimura, Takahiro Oyama, Shigeyuki Suzuki et autres

Measurement of neutron spectra for various thicknesses of concrete and steel shielding at 24-GeV/c proton beam facility using Bonner sphere spectrometer

Tetsuro Matsumoto, Akihiko Masuda, Eunji Lee, Toshiya Sanami et autres

Neutron energy spectra down to thermal energy were measured using a Bonner sphere spectrometer (BSS) for various thicknesses of concrete and steel shielding at the CERN/CHARM facility, where high-energy neutrons were produced by 24-GeV/c protons incident on a thick copper target. The …

Measurement and simulations of high-energy neutrons through a various thickness of concrete and steel shields using activation detectors at CHARM and CSBF

Noriaki Nakao, Toshiya Sanami, Tsuyoshi Kajimoto, Hiroshi Yashima et autres

A shielding experiment using activation detectors was performed at the CERN High-energy AcceleRator Mixed-field (CHARM) facility and the CERN Shielding Benchmark Facility (CSBF). The protons (24 GeV/c) were bombarded into a 50-cm-thick copper target, and the released neutrons were transmitted through various …

Two cases of solitary fibrous tumor/hemangiopericytoma with different clinical features according to the World Health Organization classification: case report and review of the literature

Tomoya Nishii, Yoshitaka Nagashima, Yusuke Nishimura, Hiroshi Ito et autres

Abstract: Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) and hemangiopericytomas (HPCs) have been classified as one entity by the World Health Organization in 2016 due to gene fusion between NAB2 and STAT6. In the Central Nervous System (CNS), a hypocellular, collagenized tumor with a classic …

Measurements of secondary-particle emissions from copper target bombarded with 24-GeV/c protons

Takahiro Oyama, Toshiya Sanami, Hiroshi Yashima, Masayuki Hagiwara et autres

To devise an activation technique for characterizing mixed radiation fields, secondary particles from a copper target irradiated by 24 GeV/c protons were measured at the CERN High-energy AcceleRator Mixed field facility (CHARM). Activation detector sets consisting of aluminum, niobium, indium, and bismuth, …
