WCN26-289 A VESICULAR TRAFFICKING PATHWAY MEDIATED BY N-ETHYLMALEIMIDE-SENSITIVE FACTOR GOVERNS INTEGRIN MATURATION AND PODOCYTE INTEGRITY

Akihiro Imai, Kazunori Inoue, Natsune Tamai, Hiroki Okushima et autres

The adhesion of podocytes—terminally differentiated epithelial cells—to the glomerular basement membrane is critical for kidney function. While adhesion disruption causes podocyte loss, the molecular mechanisms by which impaired focal adhesion drives progressive podocyte dysfunction and cell loss in glomerulosclerosis remain poorly understood.

Successful arteriovenous fistula creation in a chronic kidney disease G5 patient with bilateral ulnar artery absence: A case report

Hiroki Okushima, Akihiro Imai, Ayumi Matsumoto, Kazunori Inoue et autres

Hemodialysis access induced distal ischemia (HAIDI) represents a serious complication following arteriovenous fistula (AVF) creation, with increased risk in elderly patients with arterial abnormalities. Bilateral congenital absence of ulnar arteries is an exceptionally rare anatomical variant with optimal AVF creation strategies remain …

Method for Finding Variable Radio Sources in Drift-Scan Interferometric Data from the Nasu Observatory

Takaaki Tanaka, T. Nakamizo, Takahiro Aoki, Shinichi Kida et autres

We have developed an analysis method for finding flux variabilities of the fringes in drift-scan interferometric data at 1.4 GHz obtained from the Nasu observatory. This method uses the expectation data of the Nasu observation generated from a radio sky survey catalog …

RADIO VARIABILITY OF A FERMI LARGE AREA TELESCOPE BRIGHT SOURCE 0FGL J1847.8+3223

Shinichi Kida, T. Daishido, Takaaki Tanaka, T. Aoki et autres

Radio variability was detected at 1.42 GHz from an area at the center of which a Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) bright source 0FGL J1847.8+3223 (B2 1846+32A) was located. The flux was detected using a two-element interferometer setup at the Waseda Nasu …

Speech planning of an anthropomorphic talking robot for consonant sounds production

K. Nishikawa, Akihiro Imai, T. Ogawara, Hideaki TAKANOBU et autres

This paper describes the speech planning of the anthropomorphic talking robot WT-1R (Waseda Talker-No.1 Refined) for the production of consonant sounds. WT-1R has articulators (the tongue, lips, teeth, nasal cavity and soft palate) and vocal organs (the lungs and vocal cords), and …

Development of a mechanical talking robot that produces natural vowels and consonant sounds

K. Nishikawa, Akihiro Imai, T. Ogawara, Hideaki TAKANOBU et autres

This research attempts to clarify the human vocal mechanism from engineering viewpoints by simulating the vocal movement with a robot, and to create a dynamic model. The authors developed an anthropomorphic talking robot, WT-1 (Waseda Talker-No.1) in 1999. It simulated the human …
