NGA - Sustainable Energy Investment Accelerator NCE

Objectif officiel

The UNDP Sustainable Energy Investment Accelerator (SEIA) aims to strengthen the investment environment for clean energy projects, fostering just energy transitions at the national level. It focuses on enhancing energy governance, improving project bankability and financing access, promoting gender equality, and supporting digital transformation. With a human-centered approach, SEIA builds on global best practices to advance social and environmental benefits, particularly gender equality. Leveraging UNDP’s global reach, it creates synergies with existing programs to maximize impact and achieve economies of scale. SEIA fosters collaboration among governments, financial institutions, donors, and the private sector to develop strategies, provide policy recommendations, and drive equitable energy transitions. It contributes to renewable energy growth through systemic changes that promote inclusive, green economies, capitalizing on technological innovations and new business models. The initiative also supports the development of bankable clean energy projects, mobilizes capital for energy transitions, and promotes integrated approaches to sustainable development.
