Objectif officiel

<p class="ql-align-justify">Given the strategic importance of energy access as a powerful lever of growth and competitiveness at a global range, and for Sub-Saharan Africa in particular, the Action aims at the following specific objectives in the targeted countries: a) achieving intensive mobilisation of the private sector in the business of increasing and/or improving access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for populations living principally in rural and underserved areas, as well as areas affected by unreliable power supply; b) encouraging more actions in the field of renewable energy with emphasis on decentralised energy solutions, not excluding grid extension programs, and in energy efficiency; and c) attracting additional financing for such investments, including from global partners and the local banking sector.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify">The involvement of the private sector in the electrification business, through bridging the financing gap, has an added-value in attracting additional financing, enhancing sustainability of the investments and contributes to inclusive growth and jobs creation.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p><br></p>
