Strengthening quality infrastructure for Photovoltaic in Tunisia II

Required quality certificates for PV modules and other components are currently not yet provided in Tunisia and there is a lack of transparency about the quality of products and services on the market. The reason for this is that not all the necessary competences and capacities to improve the quality assurance of PV systems are yet available and existing services are not yet sufficiently used (core problem). This is precisely where the project comes in with the following objective: Increased use is made of high-quality services provided by the quality infrastructure to ensure the quality and reliability of PV systems. By promoting the increased use of quality assurance services of an efficient quality infrastructure, the quality of the products and services used in the PV market improves in the medium term. This strengthens the confidence of users in PV technology and thus supports sustainable PV market development. Key measures to achieve the objectives are technical training, strategic advice and support in marketing/communication for the partner institutions, as well as awareness-raising measures. The project cooperates with Tunisian quality infrastructure institutions and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy as a political partner
