Depressive symptoms and ADL limitation improve risk stratification for incident cardiovascular disease in older adults with diabetes: a multicohort prediction-model development and independent external validation study
Le résumé fourni par la source
This registration documents the protocol, exposures, outcomes, and statistical analysis plan for a multicohort study of whether depressive symptoms, cognitive impairment, and limitation in activities of daily living (ADL) add incremental value to 5-year risk stratification for incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) among older adults with diabetes and without prevalent CVD. Four publicly available ageing cohorts (CHARLS, ELSA, HRS, SHARE) are used for model development, and the Mexican Health and Aging Study (MHAS) is used for independent external validation. The study is a secondary analysis of existing, de-identified data and involves no new data collection or human intervention.
