The Effect of the Implementation of Management Information System and Work Competence on Employee Performance

Employee performance is one of the important factors in supporting the success of health service delivery in health centers. However, the implementation of the Puskesmas Management Information System that is not optimal and the Work Competence of employees that still need to be improved are suspected to affect the performance of employees at the Megamendung District Health Center. This study aims to determine the condition of the management information system, work competence, and employee performance, as well as analyze the influence of Management Information System and Work Competence on employee performance. This study uses a quantitative method with a verifiable approach. The research population is all employees who use the Health Center Management Information System at the Megamendung District Health Center. Samples were determined using purposive sampling techniques according to predetermined criteria. Data were collected through the deployment of questionnaires that had met the requirements for validity and reliability, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that the management information system has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work competence also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the management information system and Work Competence have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This study concludes that improving employee performance at the Megamendung District Health Center can be done through optimizing the implementation of Management Information System supported by continuous improvement of Work Competence. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen the quality of information systems and develop employee competencies so that the implementation of health services becomes more effective and efficient.
