Factors associated with wheelchair users’ satisfaction and perceived suitability of their wheelchair: a scoping review protocol

A suitable wheelchair is crucial for the independence, participation and health of wheelchair users. The success, acceptance and adoption of a wheelchair depend on the users’ satisfaction and experienced suitability. To improve the wheelchair selection and fitting process to match the wishes and needs of the wheelchair user, more insight is needed into the factors linked to satisfaction and perceived suitability. Therefore, this scoping review aims to identify and map key concepts and factors associated with wheelchair users’ satisfaction and perceived suitability.
