Fusion of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Plasma Acoustic Emission Signal (PAES) for Enhanced Rock Type Identification
Résumé fourni par la source
In geology and resource exploration, rapid and accurate identification of rock types is of immeasurable value. Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is known for its efficientelemental analysis, but its classification accuracy is not high for samples with similar elemental composition. In order to eliminate this limitation, this study innovatively introduced a dual-modal fusion strategy, combining LIBS with plasma acoustic emission signal (PAES) technology, aiming to significantly improve the accuracy of rock identification. LIBS can reveals the elemental composition of rock samples in detail, and PAES supplements it by providing an in-depth understanding of the key physical properties. Both LIBS and PAES use an advanced multi-layer perceptron (MLP) model to further enhance data processing and pattern recognition. The experimental results show that when LIBS is used alone, the classification accuracy is 91.81%; when LIBS and PAES provide dual-modal fusion, the accuracy is significantly increased to 97.27%. This significant improvement not only verifies the effectiveness of dual-modal data fusion, but also highlights the potential of LIBS and PAES as reliable tools for real-time geological analysis, providing powerful tools for exploration and resources.
