The global concern for health and environment has provided with technological solution for green and eco-friendly practices. In the need to meet sustainable development goals, several guidelines have been proposed by different agencies. In the quest for sustainable retail operations, the present work emerges as a transformative force, changing traditional paradigms with versatile capabilities. In an approach to develop comprehensive solutions that include paperless returns, real-time stock management, and utility payments, the environmental and health issues associated with traditional paper returns have been addressed. The study revealed the environmental and health impacts of conventional paper recycling, the exposure of workers and consumers to endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and the contamination of recycling streams with phenols such as BPA and BPS. To solve this problem, the current work advocates for retailers to adopt digital input solutions to eliminate harmful chemicals and reduce environmental pollution. In addition to environmental benefits, digital returns offer increased efficiency, cost savings, and an improved customer experience. The present work focusses on the comprehensive solutions in the form of paperless returns, real time stock management and utility payments. This will provide a greener, healthier future for retail and others thereby increasing our purchasing power and demanding environment friendly practices.
