This symposium, under the chairmanship of Prof. S/urs/cwski.will cover basic and clinical research on neural, humoral, and myogenic mechanisms of con trol of gastrointestinal motility in health and disease.The purpose of this meeting is to bring together inves tigators and clinical scientists whose research is fo cused on the pharmacology, physiology, and patho physiology of gastrointestinal motility at the organ level and at the level of the single cell.Oral presenta tions.poster sessions, and invited slate of the art lec tures will comprise the scientific program.
