The effective evaluation of nurse-patient communication in relieving psychological anxiety of patients with tumor

Objective The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness in relieving psychological anxiety by establishing system of psycho-communication between nurses and patients and healthy education for patients with tumor.Methods 50 patients with anxiety were screened by the Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS).In order to observe the effect,these patients were clinically evaluated by GDS before and after psycho-communication.Results The degree of anxiety in patients has been markedly improved.There was significant difference before and after the intervention(P0.01).Conclusion The nurse-patient communication is an effective measure for relieving the degree of dread and anxiety of patients with tumor,therefore it may improve the quality of their life.
