NNLOJET: A parton-level event generator for jet cross sections at NNLO QCD accuracy

A. Huss, Leonardo Bonino, Oscar Braun-White, Simone Caletti et autres

The antenna subtraction method for NNLO QCD calculations is implemented in the NNLOJET parton-level event generator code to compute jet cross sections and related observables in electron–positron, lepton–hadron and hadron–hadron collisions. We describe the open-source NNLOJET code and its usage.

Event generators for high-energy physics experiments

J. M. Campbell, M. Diefenthaler, T. J. Hobbs, Stefan Höche et autres

We provide an overview of the status of Monte-Carlo event generators for high-energy particle physics. Guided by the experimental needs and requirements, we highlight areas of active development, and opportunities for future improvements. Particular emphasis is given to physics models and algorithms …

Impact of jet-production data on the next-to-next-to-leading-order determination of HERAPDF2.0 parton distributions

H, Zeus collaborations, I. Abt, R. Aggarwal et autres

The HERAPDF2.0 ensemble of parton distribution functions (PDFs) was introduced in 2015. The final stage is presented, a next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) analysis of the HERA data on inclusive deep inelastic $ep$ scattering together with jet data as published by the H1 and ZEUS …

The Large Hadron–Electron Collider at the HL-LHC

Pierre Agostini, H. Aksakal, S. Alekhin, P. P. Allport et autres

Abstract The Large Hadron–Electron Collider (LHeC) is designed to move the field of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) to the energy and intensity frontier of particle physics. Exploiting energy-recovery technology, it collides a novel, intense electron beam with a proton or ion beam …

Erratum to: Calculations for deep inelastic scattering using fast interpolation grid techniques at NNLO in QCD and the extraction of $$\alpha _{\mathrm {s}}$$ from HERA data

D. Britzger, James Currie, A. Gehrmann–De Ridder, T. Gehrmann et autres

The implementation of interpolation grid techniques at NNLO and their subsequent application to the extraction of the strong coupling constant α s αs presented in Ref. [1] are based on the calculation in the framework [2,3,4]. An implementation error was found in …

Calculations for deep inelastic scattering using fast interpolation grid techniques at NNLO in QCD and the extraction of $\alpha _{\mathrm {s}}$ from HERA data

D. Britzger, James Currie, A. Gehrmann–De Ridder, T. Gehrmann et autres

The extension of interpolation-grid frameworks for perturbative QCD calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) is presented for deep inelastic scattering (DIS) processes. A fast and flexible evaluation of higher-order predictions for any a posteriori choice of parton distribution functions (PDFs) or value of …

Transfer of energy in general relativity

T. Morgan, Hermann Bondi

Abstract This paper studies time sequences of axially symmetric static configurations which can be continuously deformed into each other. We find the restriction which characterizes those time sequences which are physically allowed. This restriction can be interpreted as the law governing the …
