Electrohydrodynamic-Mediated Molecular Coordination for Stabilizing α-Phase Perovskite Solar Cells

Xin Meng, Xiuxiu Niu, Ran Luo, Nengxu Li et autres

Abstract Formamidinium-rich perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have achieved remarkable efficiencies, yet their phase purity is often compromised by the competitive nucleation of the nonperovskite δ-phase during rapid processing. Herein, we demonstrate an electrohydrodynamic (EHD)-mediated chemical strategy to bypass this kinetic trap using …

Optimal perovskite vapor partitioning on textured silicon for high-stability tandem solar cells

Nengxu Li, Xiuxiu Niu, Z.L. Dong, Jingcong Hu et autres

Achieving conformal, vapor-deposited perovskite films on industry-standard textured silicon substrates with micrometer-scale pyramids remains challenging because of the complex surface partitioning of perovskite vapors and the effects of nonequilibrium organic and inorganic vapor adsorption. We incorporated 3,3,3-trifluoropropyl-trimethoxysilane to enhance substrate-organic interactions, thereby …

Strong-bonding hole-transport layers reduce ultraviolet degradation of perovskite solar cells

Guang Yang, Xiaoqiang Shi, Haoyang Jiao, Connor J. Dolan et autres

The light-emitting diodes (LEDs) used in indoor testing of perovskite solar cells do not expose them to the levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation that they would receive in actual outdoor use. We report degradation mechanisms of p-i-n-structured perovskite solar cells under unfiltered …

Oxygen-Dependent Sputtered NiOx for High-Performance Perovskite Solar Cells and Minimodules

Ling Kai Lee, Nengxu Li, Xi Wang, Haoming Liang et autres

Inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with nickel oxide (NiO x ) as the hole transport layer have shown considerable potential for achieving high-performance photovoltaic devices. Adopting industrially compatible deposition technologies is crucial for their commercialization. In this study, we utilize pulsed DC …

Surpassing 90% Shockley–Queisser V OC limit in 1.79 eV wide-bandgap perovskite solar cells using bromine-substituted self-assembled monolayers

Qi‐Lin Zhou, Xiuxiu Niu, Shunchang Liu, Zijing Dong et autres

DCB-Br-2 is used as a hole-transporting layer for 1.79 eV wide-bandgap perovskite solar cells. Its stronger interaction with the perovskite and better energy level alignment enable the achievement of a notable V OC of 1.37 V.

Metal Halide Perovskite Solar Module Encapsulation Using Polyolefin Elastomers: The Role of Morphology in Preventing Delamination

Theo J. Dingemans, Haoyang Jiao, Nengxu Li, Michael Owen‐Bellini et autres

The development of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has ushered in a new era of solar technology, characterized by its exceptional efficiency and cost-effective production. However, the soft and fragile nature of perovskites makes module encapsulation challenging. Polyolefin elastomers (POEs) have been reported …
