Gallstone formation and histological changes in rabbits fed dihydrocholesterol

家兎にDihydrocholesterol (DHC)を1%に混入した飼料を投与し,第1～15日目まで毎日1羽ずつ屠殺して,胆嚢結石の発生と肝および胆嚢の組織学的変化を観察した.胆嚢結石は,DHC投与11日目以降に発生した.肝では,グリソン鞘内の軽度細胞浸潤が観察され,8日目以降にやや増強する傾向がみられた.胆嚢壁では,DHC投与直後より粘膜上皮の粘液分泌亢進,上皮の平低化,絨毛の平低化や消失がみられた.筋層肥厚は主に8日目以降にみられた.胆嚢および粘液に組織化学的特性はみられなかった.肝・胆嚢の組織変化は,DHC投与による直接的障害結果とみられる.結石発生に先行して,DHC投与6～10日目頃に血清コレステロールおよび燐脂質値は低下し,肝コレステロールおよび燐脂質値は増加した.胆汁コレステロールは11日目以降に減少する傾向を示した.DHCは肝の代謝に影響をおよぼすと推察されるが,かかる脂質変動と胆石発生との直接関係はなお不明である.
