Overall Objective. To accelerate investment-driven transition to an effective climate-resilient low-carbon economy and society in LesothoThe Specific(s) Objective(s) of this action are to:Specific Objective 1. Improve green, climate-resilient, energy generation, transmission, productive uses and distribution. Specific Objective 2. Improve effectiveness of sustainable and climate-resilient water and soil management linked to clean energy investments in accordance with a 360-degree approachThe Outputs to be delivered by this action contributing to the corresponding Specific Objectives (SO) are: SO1: Improve green, climate-resilient, energy generation, transmission, productive uses and distribution: Successful leveraging of blended finance for large scale investments via the Africa Investment Platform (AIP) for renewable energy infrastructure projects as part of Lesotho¿s green energy transition process.Output 1.1. Increased access to financial services and products in support to renewable energy and resource efficiency by public actors and/or private actorsOutput 1.2. Improved climate change-resilient energy infrastructureSO2: Improve effectiveness of sustainable and climate-resilient water and soil management linked to clean energy investments in accordance with a 360-degree approach: 2.1 Guidelines and knowledge products applied to support integrated and climate-resilient management of the water-energy nexus in Lesotho, enhancing nature-positive outcomes and ensuring the effective participation and empowerment of women and other marginalised groups (such as people with disabilities, youth and other socio-economically disadvantaged groups) in planning, implementation and management of related interventions). Output 2.1. Strengthened technical knowledge and tools of government, private sector and financial institutions in addressing the impact of infrastructure investments and climate change on the water-energy nexus, in coordination with local communities and marginalised groups2.2 Partnerships established between the national integrated catchment management authority (currently Integrated Catchment Unit) and energy infrastructure stakeholders ensuring representation and participation of affected communities, women and minority groups in decision-making processes.Output 2.2.
