Objectif officiel

The basic aims of the Oxbow project as conceived are to use the Waters from the upper Malibamatsu and Senqu river tributaries within Lesotho to generate cheap hydrolectricity and then to use the powerhouse discharges for irrigation and domestic water supply for Lesotho. The main objective of the study, therefore, is to select and recommend and optimum design option, to establish and define the specific engineering and operation plan for the establish and define the specific engineering and operation plan for the selected scheme, and then to determine whether it has engineering and economic feasibility and justification under anticipated economic and financial conditions.
