The document contains general information on the measurements of the variables ice particle number concentration ice particle size distribution for the topical center of cloud ice nucleation (CCice) within the cloud in situ (CIS) central facility of the aerosol, clouds and trace gases research infrastructure (ACTRIS). Details of online measurements using the portable ice nucleation chamber (PINE) and the automated horizontal ice nucleation chamber (HINC-Auto) are provided. Furthermore, information on offline measurements with freezing assay instruments such as the ice nucleation spectrometer of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (INSEKT) is given as well as data management, quality control and quality assurance recommendations. The document will be updated with a new version as needed. It is a combined document with the technical requirements for ice nucleating particle measurements (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22794056).
