Google Search Console classed viewer term URLs (?id=VFB_...) as Soft 404: their content only ever arrived over the Geppetto websocket, and Googlebot's renderer doesn't hold one open. Term id changes now also fetch the term's summary over plain HTTPS (VFBquery's v3-cached endpoint) and use it to set a per-term title, meta description, canonical (https://virtualflybrain.org/reports/ ), og tags and JSON-LD, independent of the websocket. That same summary renders visibly in the Term Info pane until the websocket delivers the full term info, since Google's soft-404 check judges visible content and discounted an earlier visually-hidden version. An empty Layers list now reads "Nothing loaded yet." instead of "No results found." Verified on v2-dev: Search Console's live test of a term URL now returns "URL is available to Google / Page can be indexed" (previously Soft 404).
