This repository contains data and code used to analyze diurnal tree water storage dynamics under soil drying conditions. The data and code accompany the publication When the night is not long enough: Soil drying constrains nighttime tree rehydration, setting a physical limit to stomatal regulation (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1093/treephys/tpag119).It includes raw and processed measurements of stem radius, sap flow, and soil water potential from two field sites (Chippis and Saillon), as well as derived metrics (PDS, NR) and calibration data for leaf water potential. All datasets required to reproduce the analyses and figures in the associated manuscript are provided.The associated manuscript is currently under revision.
