High Myopia and Glaucoma: A Scoping Review of Structural Phenotypes and OCT Imaging Challenges
Le résumé fourni par la source
This scoping review examines how structural phenotypes associated with high myopia influence glaucoma assessment using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and related imaging approaches. It maps evidence on myopia-related structural and imaging changes that may mimic, obscure, or modify glaucomatous damage and summarizes OCT and OCT-related approaches that may help distinguish glaucomatous change from high-myopia–related abnormalities. The review focuses on the optic nerve head, peripapillary region, macula, and other structural phenotypes relevant to interpretation of glaucoma imaging in highly myopic eyes.
