Scientific Authentication of Test Items in The Domain of Sports Biomechanics in The Structures of Motor Actions for Postgraduates in Physical Education

Purpose: The primary aim of this research was to assess and authenticate a 25-question test formulated to measure how well physical education postgraduates comprehend the structures of motor actions within the field of sports biomechanics. Methods: Following their coursework, an intentional cohort of 32 Master of Physical Education scholars completed this objective examination. The psychometric properties of the questionnaire were evaluated through classical test theory, computing the Difficulty Index (p) alongside the Discrimination Index (D) for all questions by applying the standard 27% upper-lower group method. Further reliability checks included Cronbach's alpha, along with odd-even and split-half correlational tests. Results: Participants achieved an average score of 14.09 ± 4.73. An evaluation of the test items showed that 68% of the questions offered a medium level of difficulty (p-values ranging from 0.30 to 0.70), while 72% of the test components showed an outstanding ability to differentiate student performance levels (D > 0.34). Overall, the evaluation displayed solid internal coherence (Cronbach's alpha = 0.749) and substantial reliability in both split-half (r = 0.692) and odd-even (r = 0.734) reviews. Conclusion: This 25-question framework serves as a highly dependable, valid, and psychometrically sound metric. It effectively unites scientific precision with appropriate academic challenge, proving highly capable of identifying varying degrees of student comprehension in motor action mechanics and broader biomechanical principles.
