Data and R code for "Farmers' Assessments, Management, and Biodiversity in Intensive Potato Production Systems: A Social–Ecological Approach"

This repository contains the de-identified processed data, R code, supplementary tables, figures, and validation outputs supporting the article “Farmers’ Assessments, Management, and Biodiversity in Intensive Potato Production Systems: A Social–Ecological Approach”. The study was conducted in intensive potato production systems in southeastern Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, between 2020 and 2023. The dataset integrates social, productive, ecological, management, and landscape information from 12 unique respondents associated with 35 production sites. The repository includes site-level and respondent-level analytical datasets, processed records used to calculate the Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ), reproducible R scripts, English-language figures, and supplementary tables describing the questionnaire, analytical variables, and coding and recoding procedures. Direct identifiers, including respondent and farm names, were removed prior to public release. Respondents are represented by pseudonymous identifiers and production sites by analytical site codes. The EIQ variables included in the repository should be interpreted as indicators of potential hazard rather than direct measures of exposure or ecological risk, because complete application rates, concentrations, and frequencies were not consistently available. The repository was prepared specifically to reproduce the analyses and figures reported in the associated article.
