Map is a medium which stores information drawn by methods of map expression.Theory of map expression in Slovakia was mainly developed by Ing.Ján Pravda, DrSc.from early eighties of 20th century, in a way of concept called map language (Pravda, 1997(Pravda, , 2001(Pravda, , 2003)).Pravda's map language was based on premise that map expression may be described and explained by structured system of map language which consists of four areas: map signage, map morphography, map syntax and map stylistics.1.
