Model Data for EOF-Based Optimal Sensor Placement and 3D Marine Reconstruction in the Weser Estuary
Résumé fourni par la source
This dataset contains the hydrodynamic model output used in the study “Model-Informed EOF-Based Sensor Placement for Marine Monitoring.” The data originate from a three-dimensional GETM simulation of the Weser Estuary and include the fields required for EOF-based sensor placement, sparse reconstruction, and sensitivity analyses. The dataset contains temperature, salinity, layer thickness, bathymetry, and model-grid information stored in NetCDF format. The data are used to evaluate and compare Random, QDEIM, D-optimal, A-optimal, U-optimal, greedy RMSE, and Hybrid sensor-placement methods. They also support the seasonal transferability and uncertainty analyses presented in the associated study. The accompanying source code for preprocessing, EOF decomposition, sensor selection, reconstruction, uncertainty analysis, and performance evaluation is available in the associated GitHub repository.
