Root-associated fungal communities of the seagrass Zostera marina reflect restoration stage
Résumé fourni par la source
This dataset contains fungal ITS2 amplicon sequence variant (ASV) data associated with the seagrass Zostera marina from natural, restored and experimental treatments in Milford Haven, Wales, UK. Samples comprise root-associated fungal communities and adjacent sediments, including established wild seagrass, a 2017 restoration, and experimental plants grown under different sediment and detrital/nutrient treatments. The deposited dataset represents the final rarefied dataset used for community analyses in the associated manuscript. Samples were rarefied to 6,000 reads per sample, resulting in 56 samples (26 root and 30 sediment samples). The files comprise: ASV_table_rarefied_6000.csv -abundance table containing ASV read counts for each sample following rarefaction to 6,000 reads. ASV_taxonomy_rarefied_6000.csv - taxonomic assignments corresponding to the ASVs retained in the rarefied dataset. Sample_metadata_rarefied_6000.csv -sample metadata corresponding to the samples retained in the rarefied dataset, including sample fraction and experimental/restoration treatment information. These files provide the processed data underlying analyses of fungal community diversity, composition and differences among seagrass restoration and experimental treatments. Raw sequencing reads are deposited separately in the European Nucleotide Archive under accession PRJEB81660.
