Coding table for construction contract disputes in Vietnamese court judgments, 2016-2026

This dataset contains the complete coding record underlying a study of construction contract disputes in Vietnam. It covers 224 court judgments screened from the public judgment portal of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam, of which 45 were excluded on party-type criteria, 4 were excluded as duplicate proceedings of the same dispute, and 175 were retained for analysis. Each retained judgment is coded against a multi-label scheme of dispute causes, together with court level, case type, year, party roles, and outcome. Excluded judgments are retained in the file with the reason for exclusion, so that the screening process can be independently reconstructed. A codebook defining every variable and every label is included. Coding was performed by the sole author from the full text of each judgment. The judgments themselves are public documents and are identified by their official case numbers, allowing every coding decision to be verified against the source.
