This technical report is the result of Task 6.2.1 of Work Package 6, “Stakeholder engagement, policy support, and outreach,” of the Biodiversa+ Wolfness Project. Its overall aim is to provide a comprehensive review of current policies concerning wolf-dog hybridisation (WDH) and its management at the European level. Specifically, it seeks to identify developments, challenges, and ways forward in WDH legislation that could support the development of more effective and nuanced local management strategies in dynamic socio-political and ecological landscapes.
