Galicia marine finfish aquaculture production dataset

Processed dataset of marine finfish aquaculture production in Galicia for the period 2007–2024. Data were obtained from the Consellería do Mar through the Instituto Galego de Estatística (IGE) and processed for use in the doctoral thesis Natural Aeromonas salmonicida infection in farmed turbot: an integrated approach to pathology and diagnosis. The original hierarchical dataset was cleaned and restructured into a flat tabular format. Numeric values were standardized and species names were harmonized, with English common names and scientific names added to facilitate interpretation. Production is expressed in tonnes. The dataset was used to characterize the relative contribution of turbot and other marine finfish species to aquaculture production in Galicia.
