Le résumé fourni par la source
The presented dataset contains raw data and the results of a comprehensive retrospective digitalization and statistical analysis of the second final match of the 1968 UEFA European Championship between Italy and Yugoslavia (2:0). The processing was carried out using the domestic analytical system "Match Management Program" (PUM) and the innovative method of the two-dimensional adaptive multi-interval scale (2D AMIS). For the first time, frame-by-frame scanning of game events was performed based on archival television footage, which made it possible to compile a complete dataset of professional technical-tactical actions (TTA) of players from both teams. Key metrics calculated based on PUM algorithms: • Expected Goals (xG) and shot quality values; • An integral assessment of game quality; • Detailed indicators of possession, passing, and team actions. Spatial data visualization: The implementation of the 2D AMIS method provided mathematically precise spatial normalization of data for constructing activity heat maps. This approach successfully eliminates the influence of statistical outliers and avoids visual contrast compression inherent in standard scaling methods. The dataset is of high value to researchers in the field of sports analytics, football historians, and specialists in heritage digitalization. It demonstrates the universality of digital scanning for deconstructing tactical models of football from past eras and allows for correct statistical comparisons of matches separated by decades.
