Résumé fourni par la source

Purpose This study aims to investigate how the adequacy of artificial intelligence training influences workforce readiness in a US-based commercial real estate services organization. It assesses the links among training, job satisfaction, confidence in AI infrastructure and the role of perceived ease of use in employees' interactions with AI tools. Design/methodology/approach The study used a cross-sectional employee survey administered across functions and roles in a US commercial real estate services firm. Measures adapted from established scales captured training adequacy, perceived ease of use, AI interaction, job satisfaction and confidence in AI infrastructure. Analyses combined descriptive statistics, regression and mediation to test the proposed relationships and the indirect role of perceived ease of use. Findings Employees who perceive training as adequate report higher job satisfaction and greater confidence in organizational AI capacity. Perceived ease of use is also positively associated with AI interaction; however, its hypothesized mediating role between training adequacy and AI adoption was not supported. Practical implications Organizations should treat AI training as an integrated practice that incorporates hands-on practice into everyday workflows. Human resources (HR)and information technology functions should co-design training with a parallel focus on simplifying processes, ensuring that employees encounter usable, supportive and intuitive tools at the point of need. Training should be a visible signal of organizational support by clarifying decision rights, accountability and ethical guardrails, while maintaining human oversight for consequential judgments. Manager-focused modules should address coaching, escalation pathways and performance conversations in AI-supported work. Originality/value By situating AI adoption in everyday HR practice within commercial real estate services, the study highlights workforce readiness as both a technical and organizational challenge, with training adequacy associated with employee outcomes and perceived ease of use associated with AI engagement.
