Two New Records of Leafhoppers of the Genus Neoaliturus Distant (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from India

To ascertain the presence of new records of species belonging to the genus Neoaliturus from India. Insects were collected from Jodhpur, Rajasthan and Naikkatty, Karala, and studied at the NPC laboratory, ICAR-IARI, following standard insect identification protocols, including male genitalia dissection. The present study reports two species of Neoaliturus namely, Neoaliturus grandidentis Gnezdilov and Vladimir and N. carbonarius Mitjaev for the first time from India. Previously, N. gradidentis was reported from United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, and N. carbonarius from Kazakhstan. New geographic distribution recordsare provided, along with redescription and illustration of the species.
