Basidiodendron eyrei (Wakef.) Luck-Allen ≡ Sebacina eyrei Wakef., Trans. Br. mycol. Soc. 5: 126 (1915). United Kingdom, England, Hampshire, Alresford, on decorticated log of Fagus sylvatica, 7. V. 1914, comm. Rev. W. Eyre (syntype designated here K, no. K-M 000049486; isolectotype PC, no. 0084215). Mycobank typification identifier: MBT 10033155. = Bourdotia eyrei (Wakef.) Wakef. ex Bourdot & Galzin. Note. The phylogenetic study of the Auriculariales conducted by Weiss and Oberwinkler (2001) showed that five Basidiodendron species formed a single cluster, although without statistical support. As discussed below, the monophyly of Basidiodendron still cannot be confirmed.
