The MOUSAM - Monitoring, Observation and Understanding for Sustainability Awareness and Mitigation project promotes environmental awareness among students in Kerala, India through observation, measurement, and scientific thinking, emphasizing local climate change understanding and responsible action. It fosters collaboration among schools, scientists, research centers, and industry. MOUSAM encourage young students to monitor weather, soil, and vegetation, contributing data for larger climate insights and nurturing future environmentally literate, responsible citizens. The MOUSAM project is implemented by the Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India (NERCI) in Kochi, India and is funded by the Cochin Shipyard Ltd..
