This repository contains the compiled analysis datasets and the complete R and Python pipeline supporting the manuscript "Effort-Corrected Global Analysis Supports a Robust but Taxonomically Uneven Island Signal in Lizard Frugivory" (Al-Sayegh & Almousa, submitted to the Journal of Biogeography). From a full census of 7,396 Sauria species, the study assembles an independently reconstructed global frugivory database and tests whether island residency remains a significant predictor of lizard frugivory after correcting for research effort, using phylogenetic logistic regression on the Tonini et al. (2016) squamate phylogeny and its 100-tree posterior sample. See the included README.md for a full description of the code (39 scripts, numbered in pipeline order), the compiled data files, and the manuscript tables, plus citations for the third-party primary databases (ReptTraits, GBIF, GIFT, GloBI, the Tonini et al. phylogeny) that this archive deliberately does not redistribute.
