The seismic events recorded by the NASA InSight mission provide one of the best resources to probe the interior structure of Mars. At the same time, the identification of their source is crucial to understand the active geological processes taking place on Mars to this day. Here, we present a clustering procedure for the P-wave coda of high frequency seismic events on Mars. This group of events is the most numerous type of Martian event, however, their spatial distribution and generation mechanisms are not fully understood, as they are only located to an epicentral distance. Our clustering procedure identifies five sub-groups of event. This characterisation is based on the P-wave coda slope decay, which provides information on attenuation and scattering, and on newly identified Pwave morphologies in terms of delayed energy arrivals. We interpret the differences between event clusters as evidence for distinct wave propagation pathways, based on a comparison to events with known locations. These results reveal variations in the regional structure surrounding the InSight landing site and provide new constraints on the spatial distribution and possible origins of high frequency types marsquakes.
