El sector exportador en la provincia de Tarma: concentración empresarial, especialización productiva y mercados de destino (2023–2025)
Résumé fourni par la source
The study analyzed the structure and dynamics of the export sector in the province of Tarma during 2023–2025 within the context of international trade growth as a driver of economic development; the theory emphasizes that productive diversification and complexity are key to competitiveness and sustainability. The method employed was a quantitative, descriptive, longitudinal study that utilized secondary data from official sources and descriptive statistical techniques. At the national level, the number of exporting companies grew by 6.76%, and in the Junín region by 30.82%, while Tarma showed stagnation with three exporting companies but cumulative sales of USD$ 32,645,389.30. There was also evidence of a highly concentrated structure, with a single company accounting for 99.1% of the export value, revealing structural dependence and vulnerability; the export basket shows a marked specialization in agro-industrial products, primarily pineapple (72.0%) and mango (16.8%), indicating limited diversification. Furthermore, there is a high dependence on markets concentrated in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The findings revealed gaps in Tarma’s export development, as well as business, production, and geographic concentration that limit the sustainability of the export system, highlighting the need for policies aimed at diversifying and strengthening the export ecosystem.
