Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important food commodity with considerable potential for further development. Increasing peanut productivity can be achieved through the selection of suitable varieties and soil fertility management, including dolomite application. This study aimed to evaluate the responses of several peanut varieties to different dolomite rates in terms of plant growth and yield. The experiment was conducted using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors, namely three peanut varieties (Zebra, Putih, and Merah) and five dolomite rates (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, and 1.5 t ha⁻¹), with three blocks. The observed variables included vegetative growth, biomass, yield components, pod characteristics, and productivity. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level when significant effects were detected. The results showed that variety had a greater influence on peanut growth and yield than dolomite rate. The Zebra variety showed the best plant height growth, whereas the Putih variety showed superior performance in terms of leaf number, pod formation, pod weight, and productivity. Dolomite application had limited effects on several growth and pod size characteristics but did not significantly affect total pod number, pod weight, or productivity. These results indicate that variety selection can be a primary consideration for improving peanut productivity, while dolomite application should be adjusted to soil conditions and plant requirements.
