The IAB job survey is a quarterly representative company survey on the overall job vacancy and recruitment processes in Germany. The survey determines the total number of all vacancies on the labor market, including those that are not reported to the Federal Employment Agency (BA). The first module of the questionnaire contains information on the number and structure of vacancies, the expected future labor demand, the economic situation, and the development of the companies surveyed. The second module asks about the company's assessment and use of current labor market policy instruments as well as the company's treatment of people who are disadvantaged in the labor market. The third module contains questions about the last case of a new hire and the last case of a failed recruitment attempt. The Research Data Center of the Federal Employment Agency provides the data sets of the survey waves from 2000 with all modules including the quarterly surveys for external researchers.
