Conflict Resolution in Project-Based Learning
Résumé fourni par la source
In Project-Based Learning (PBL), the learners collaborate to create projects to adjust and improve their cognitive levels. When learners work on the same project, conflict can arise and may impact their knowledge and relationships, as they often have different skills and backgrounds. This study aims at resolving conflicts among learners PBL using a mediation approach. The proposed approach involves calculating the similarity between learners to select the proper rescuer based on specific criteria. A set of functions has been used to calculate each criterion. A system called CORE-PBL (For Conflict Resolution in Project-Based Learning) has been implemented to validate the proposed approach. Furthermore, an experimental study had been conducted in the Social Department of Guelma University (Algeria) to address potential conflicts among learners in their projects. The obtained results were satisfactory, as they demonstrated that the cognitive profiles of most students had been improved.
