Résumé fourni par la source

This scoping review maps interventions delivered specifically to men who are convicted, incarcerated, or paroled for violence against women. Thirty-eight articles were identified. Most programs use a single therapeutic approach with a mix of qualitative and quantitative assessments. Evidence for recidivism and other distal behavioral outcomes was mixed, inconsistent, and limited across the included studies; programs showed more consistent promise in tempering a range of unhealthy attitudes toward women. Challenges exist in getting positive results with interventions, given the complexity of the profile of the men in the therapies and the insalubrious correctional environment.
