Data associated with rational ecological chassis design to support Bifidobacterium adolescentis through food-derived microbial communities

This dataset contains experimental and computational data used to investigate defined food-derived microbial communities designed around Bifidobacterium adolescentis ATCC 15703. It includes three BioLector XT screening runs with biomass, pH and dissolved-oxygen channels; a monoculture growth experiment comparing MRS and minimal MRS conditions with and without xylose; processed in vitro pairwise spent-media interaction results; dFBA-derived interaction results for 1,600 directed donor-recipient combinations; and strain, genome-accession and DefCom design metadata. Original Excel workbooks are preserved and scientifically useful sheets are also supplied as UTF-8 TSV files. The package includes a data dictionary, an unresolved-metadata register, provenance reports, a SHA-256 file manifest, and validation showing zero mismatches across 735,403 exported workbook cells.
