Background: Handwashing with soap (HWS) is a measure against disease. HWS should be performed before and after engaging in activities.Aims: This study aimed to promote HWS as part of daily life. To foster this habit, educational sessions were conducted to enhance residents’ knowledge and skills.Methods: The community service program was implemented in February 2026 using leaflet-based educational media. This activity was attended by 30 participants. For the HWS skills training, a pre-test was also administered, followed by a demonstration of the 6-step HWS procedure by the team, and concluded with a post-test. The results of the pre- and post-tests on skills showed that all 30 participants were competent in HWS.Conclusion: Health promotion training needs to be further optimized in RW 10. Community resources can be optimized through community kaders. Kaders have the opportunity to serve as key figures working with the community on health activities. This approach contributes to sustainable improvements in health outcomes in a culturally diverse community.
