Résumé fourni par la source

Background. Osteoporosis is a widespread skeletal disease associated with an increased risk of fractures and a substantial burden of healthcare systems. The rising prevalence of osteoporosis in Uzbekistan, together with the limited number of studies assessing the pharmaceutical market of medicines used for its treatment, highlights the need for a comprehensive marketing analysis. Objective: Analysis of the dynamics and current state of the market for bone resorption inhibitors in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Material and methods. A market analysis of bone resorption inhibitors was conducted using the Drug Audit database for 2020–2025. The methods of dynamic, comparative, and structural analysis were applied, taking into account dosage forms, international nonproprietary names (INNs), trade names, countries of manufacture, sales volumes, and price indicators. Results . The market demonstrated an overall upward trend with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of +21.30%. Among international nonproprietary names, the zoledronic acid segment showed the highest growth (CAGR +55.28%), whereas the alendronic acid segment declined (CAGR –32.35%). In the dosage form structure, a shift from oral to parenteral preparations was observed. A high proportion of imported products and fluctuations in the share of domestic manufacturers were identified. More than 90% of the market was concentrated in the segment of the five leading drugs, indicating a high level of market concentration. The increasing share of generic products during the study period was accompanied by a decrease in prices. Conclusion . The findings substantiate the need to diversify the range of anti-osteoporotic medicines available in Uzbekistan, expand access to modern therapeutic agents, promote domestic production, and improve pricing policies.
