Replication package supporting the manuscript “Menopause beyond humans: could socially transmitted information favour extended post-reproductive life?” The package contains the frozen 99-species comparative dataset, data dictionary and audit materials; 100 pruned VertLife mammalian phylogenies used to propagate phylogenetic uncertainty; analysis and validation code; archived provenance for the outcome-independent research-effort measure; and reproduced analytical outputs. The analyses examine whether persistent socially transmitted information is associated with post-reproductive representation (PrR) across mammals, distinguishing the occurrence of measurable post-reproductive representation from its extent among species in which PrR is present. Cultural variables were coded independently of PrR. The repository is intended to provide the data, code and provenance necessary to reproduce and audit the comparative analyses reported in the manuscript. Post-reproductive representation should not be interpreted as equivalent to physiological menopause; rather, it provides a comparative population-level measure of post-reproductive life.
